Humans of Total Fitouts – Andrew Tait

Total Fitouts Andrew TaitRecently we had the pleasure of welcoming aboard a new franchisee for Total Fitouts Broadbeach.

His name is Andrew Tait and he’s taking on the beautiful Gold Coast region with all his years experience in shop fitting. Originally from New Zealand a few moons ago, our Aussie convert is living a busy work life right now with the upstart of his new Total Fitouts business. A new Grandad too, Andrew has also been enjoying the past couple of weeks getting some face time with his beautiful newborn granddaughter – congrats! With all the kids grown now, he and wife Julie live the quiet coastal life with a pup Chihuahua, who Andrew explains as being “The only baby left in the house.”

Having stepped straight from school into an apprenticeship, Andrew has now been working as a carpenter for over 30 years! Needless to say, he’s a very diverse fellow and has a great catalogue of works behind him. Tired of the residential game Andrew moved to shop fitting in late 2000 when he moved to Australia. Early on in the shopfitting game, Andrew was involved in the roll-out of multiple Starbucks and then went on to work for three major shop fitting companies as a site manager and installer. Andrew has the great prerequisites for a great shopfitter with an Advanced Trade Certificate and Diploma in Project Management. In his 17 plus years of shopfitting Andrew has worked on an array of projects, big and small including high end stores such as: Mitchell Ogilvie, Nantucket Bar & Brill and Vapiano in Garden City.

After gaining all his years of knowledge and running his own sub-contracting business, Andrew felt the pull to start his own Total Fitouts business and we’re just so glad he did – you won’t get better management of your project by a more genuine guy than Andrew.
