Illuminate Aesthetics, based in Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast, contacted the Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South team to create their refreshing new beauty clinic. The owners of the cosmetic treatment business, famous for its high-quality services for both men and women, tasked the team with creating a commercial wellness fitout with a modern, Mediterranean style, tranquil atmosphere, and soothing colours & soft textures. The team worked closely with the owners to ensure that the design and layout of the clinic were tailored to their exact needs.

Designer Ishoa Scozzafava states “Owners Steph & Chris had a clear vision of their ideal fit out, the reception was to be the main focal point, creating a space that emulates warmth in a clinical setting. The reception area is the first & last place clients visit during treatment and it was essential to leave their clients with a lasting memory. The clinic is located on Nicklin Way in Kawana, an eye-catching façade and signage that was on brand and fits the design brief was a must.”

The design team incorporated custom frosted window decals to create filtered light effects, a natural calming colour palette, on-trend arched carpentry and raw finishes to add texture and light, while also absorbing sound. This brought a beautiful ethereal space to life.

Designer Telia Cartwright says, ‘The clinic has a lot of functional & practical design requirements that needed to be incorporated into the modern clinical space. Ensuring successful daily operations and functionality within the space was imperative.’

The common areas featured honed polished concrete, perfect for high-traffic areas, whilst assisting passive design through natural cooling and heating in the sunshine coast sub-tropical climate. The clinic rooms featured hospital-grade vinyl lay flooring, custom joinery featuring hidden storage & features brass accents that complement the entire space.

Telia & Ishoa say ‘The selected finishes were carefully considered, with textured render being a key feature. Arched shelving and a rendered reception counter with vertical kit-kat tiles around a curved pedestal were standout elements. Brass accents, subtle 3D signage and LED lighting completed the natural look.

The Sunshine Coats South’s Team of local trades and carpenters created custom elements to fit the brief that pulled the whole fit out together. The team smashed the client’s brief, together creating a lux retreat. 

Telia, Ishoa and the Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South team expertly managed the complete design, construct and build project, delivering bespoke touches, custom timber joinery, mood lighting and high-end finishes. The result is another memorable wellness & beauty fitout for the Total Fitouts local team of fitout professionals.
