Total Fitouts Surry Hills and Parramatta were tasked with the transformation of an empty commercial tenancy into a contemporary and sleek retail space for Phonetabulous. Phonetabulous specialises in phone repairs and phone merchandise, and the goal was to create a modern, well-lit environment that would enhance the customer shopping experience.

The transformation of this commercial retail fitout entailed meticulous attention to its exterior and interior aspects, with both the design and fitout complete by the expert shopfitters from the Total Fitouts Surry Hills & Parramatta team. To create a captivating shop front, the design incorporated a prominent custom LED sign. Its size and strategic placement ensured exceptional visibility to pedestrians and potential customers alike. Complementing this, the integration of floor-to-ceiling windows framed with elegant black trim contributed to the shop’s inviting allure. These windows not only added transparency but also acted as a visual magnet, attracting passersby into the store.

Moving indoors, the focus was on optimising natural lighting. This involved two key elements: high ceilings and strategic placement of lighting fixtures. The result was a luminous and welcoming atmosphere that bathed the interior in a warm and inviting glow. Together, these design elements created a sense of spaciousness and comfort, making the store an inviting place for customers to explore.

Integral to the fitout’s aesthetic and functionality were the black joinery elements thoughtfully integrated throughout the space. These elements served a multifaceted purpose, encompassing product display, storage, and organisation. Adding to their visual impact and enhancing the overall look, LED strip lighting was meticulously incorporated into the joinery. This addition not only illuminated the merchandise effectively but also added a touch of modernity to the space.

Beyond aesthetics, the fitout’s layout was carefully planned to optimise customer experience. The spacious floor plan provided ample room for customers to navigate and explore merchandise comfortably. Additionally, key operational components were incorporated, such as a designated checkout desk and a well-designed back-of-house area for repairs and maintenance. These elements contributed to a seamless and efficient operation of the store, ensuring it could meet both customer needs and operational requirements effectively.

The interior design concept focused on achieving a sleek and bright environment. It features neutral grey walls, concrete flooring, and prominent black joinery. The cabinetry on the main floor areas was custom-built to accommodate various types of merchandise. LED strip lighting along the edges of the cabinetry enhances product visibility and adds a dynamic element to the store’s aesthetic. White backing on wall cabinetry was utilised to make the merchandise stand out and enhance customer visibility. To add visual interest, copper structures were suspended from the ceiling to support sales signage.
