Tipplers Taps

Total Fitouts Brisbane Inner North recently completed a commercial hospitality fitout for Tipplers Taps, a unique ‘Pour Your Own’ pub located in South Bank Brisbane. Led by Ross, Steve, and their team, the project aimed to transform an empty commercial tenancy into a space characterised by a black and wood colour palette. Tipplers Taps offers a traditional pub scene with a twist, creating an inviting and elevated pub experience.

The scope of work included designing and constructing various areas within the venue, including an open entry space, inviting dining and ordering areas, a large ‘Pour Your Own’ station, a dedicated ‘pub’ sporting bar space, a kitchen area, and amenities. The interior design concept of Tipplers Taps utilises black and wooden elements, complemented by custom brickwork, to create a cozy and warm ambience that seamlessly blends Australian pub aesthetics with elevated design. The design for the commercial hospitality fitout was executed by external designers in collaboration with fitout experts Total Fitouts Brisbane Inner North.

The front section of the commercial hospitality fitout features large black pillars and floor-to-ceiling glass panels that offer versatility in terms of space utilisation. The movable glass panels can be opened or closed, allowing for an open area or segmented spaces based on specific needs or weather conditions. One of the black pillars showcases a custom-made Tipplers Taps flag-like sign, ensuring the venue is easily identifiable to passersby.

Ross, Steve, and their skilled team of carpenters delivered a high-quality hospitality fitout that highlights exposed open ceilings, beautiful brickwork, and a neutral marble central pillar. A prominent counter, made of brickwork and featuring a black countertop with concealed lighting, is placed in the centre. A neutral marble pillar separates the counter into two sections, both capable of serving customers, with one side incorporating a black-painted keg beer tap to align with the overall theme. Large fridges are positioned behind the counter, providing visible access to drinks for customers. 

The self-serve area showcases custom on-brand signage, surrounded by wooden cabinetry and walls. A large custom beer keg ‘self-serve’ system is strategically placed beneath the signage, alongside glass storage and carefully positioned screens for automated service. Ample black down lighting, along with hanging lights featuring rope-like cords, contributes to the aesthetic appeal of the space. Black and dark wood furniture is thoughtfully placed throughout the various areas, ensuring cohesive design and theme integration. VJ panelling is used along curved and straight walls, while light concrete flooring offers durability, easy maintenance, and a contrasting backdrop for the wood and brickwork elements. To complete the space, large mounted TVs, outdoor heaters, and personalised Tipplers Taps items enhance the warm and inviting pub atmosphere and theme.
